Investing is not a casual purchase MLM you did. Investing is not the new car was purchased to save 4 miles per gallon. Investing is not that new home you will pay twice after paying off all the interest. Investing is not going to school for 12 years to a doctoral degree before going on your dream life volunteering for the Peace Corps. Investing is a plan. Investing is not a procedure. Investing is not a get-rich-quick-scheme. Investing is not a product. Investing is a plan.

Choose your investment plan is simply the act of deciding which investment vehicle is best for you. Maybe your vehicle investment is growing your business. That’s great. It worked for Sam Walton. Perhaps his investment vehicle is purchasing the intellectual property. That’s fine. It worked for Michael Jackson when he bought the collection of the Beatles. Maybe your vehicle is motionless. That’s great. It worked well for Donald Trump.

Investing is simply choosing what vehicle you want. Your investment vehicle should be able to take from your current financial reality in a place where you can get all your financial and life goals. If your goals were to travel 9 months of work per year, while less than 4 days a week, then invest in real estate may not be the thing for you. If you want to be on the beach in Jamaica, over-seeing the building renovation a few days will not be a sustainable solution for you.

As a general rule I think we need more of a financial vehicle to take you where you want to go. You may need to start and grow successful small companies to be able to make enough money to get involved in real estate. That’s fine. This is to be expected. However, when not completely decided on what your financial goals are and then become an easy target for every MLM, every get-rich-quick-scheme, and each new business opportunity that makes its way to you.

Do not grow too attached to a specific financial product or service. What went wrong in the past, you may begin working in future and vice versa. All I want to do is go from where you are to where you want to be. You should not care too much for vehicles that will take you there.
